Need A Base???

Building Base Type Options & Information

Your New Building Will Require Something Firm To Stand on!
As part of our design & supply service we are able to offer the following types of base type options to give your new building a firm footing for years to come. The following options are available to suit all building types & sizes. In some cases we may be able to utilise an existing base structure providing it is suitable for your new building, this would be determined during our initial site survey. A good, solid base system is essential to ensure the stability of your new building as well as to supply an adequate airflow around the floor timbers which is important to maximising the structures integrity for years to come. During the initial survey, our engineer would advise you on the most suitable base type based on building size, position & ground type.

Base Type One:- If there is an Existing Solid Concrete Base available to suit the size & position of your new building it may be possible to utilise it. Our survey engineer would advise you regarding this possibility.

Base Type Two:- New Concrete Base. We are able to offer a full installation service for any size base required to suit your new building. Sizes & quantities of material would be determined during our initial site survey and costs calculated would be inclusive of installing the base at the correct Position. Please note, Concrete Base Installation is available subject to suitable access requirements.

Base Type Three:- Ground Screw & Base Frame Installation. In some cases the chosen installation position of your new building may not be suitable for any of the above methods. In this case installation is still possible utilising a professional "Ground Screw Platform" type of leg which comprises of specially designed "Corkscrew" type steel legs with a flat steel fixing g platform located on the top of each leg to which the building base is firmly attached. The position of each "leg" is carefully calculated to suit the building size/type being installed. The legs are then "screwed" into the ground at the correct positions which provides a solid platform upon which the building base can then be installed.

Prices for all base types illustrated above can be calculated by our survey engineer depending on your chosen building size & ground type.
